What Does C.A.N. Look Like?
Child abuse and neglect can take many forms. Parents or guardians are expected to provide a certain minimum level of care for their children. This involves meeting their basic needs for food, clothing and shelter, ensuring that they are safe and receiving appropriate methods of discipline.

Do You Suspect Child Abuse or Neglect is Occurring?
It is important to remember that you are not called to be an investigator, but rather called to be a voice for the child. If you suspect abuse or neglect is taking place, please take the step of calling the Missouri Children’s Division Child Abuse and Neglect Hotline at 1-800-392-3738. Sometimes all that is necessary to help a child is for good people to get involved when they see something for which they are concerned.
